Sharing over 3 years of her journey, Alma, the founder of Dreadconnection, provides a website that covers all that is locing - from headwraps, to recipes, to hair dyes. The locing journeys of many a newbie nappie have been blessed by this website (present 8 months loc'd company included. lol). Reading this journal helps to prepare and make aware those who are considering taking the first step.

A well organized, concise presentation of a huge of amount of information is a challenge that we feel the Dreadconnection meets. We were also impressed with the depth to which subjects like loc care and maintenance are dove into. There was also information and perspectives we've not seen on other locing sites, with topics such as holistic locing, thinning locs, instructions on marrying locs, and the use of essential oils (you will find a whole essential oil guide!). Alma doesn't just give you the basic points, she educates. In addition, there are plenty of photos to illustrate her journey and photo inspirations from other loc wearers (Some of our favorites - Oh Lenny, why did you have to cut those wonderful locs off?).
